Job Summary:

This 11-month position provides faculty with training and support for a variety of education technology management systems and applications. The Learning Technologies Specialist supports the online course management system as a system administrator, troubleshoots technical issues, transfers course materials, tests new versions, and maintains the learning management system help database.

Other duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing training and support for other educational technology applications.
  • Maintaining the Faculty Success Center portion of the Staff and Faculty Development database.
  • Keeping up to date with new technology developments.
  • Developing training materials and facilitating workshops for faculty.
  • Participating on the Universal Design Committee and assisting and training faculty in the design and development of course materials.

This 11-month position is equivalent to working 239 days throughout the calendar year.

Minimum Qualifications:

Appropriate education, training, experience, and talents are required. An example of this would be an Associates degree in an education or technology related field and two years of related experience.

Skill in oral and written communications and building relationships is required.

Skill in designing and delivering training required.

Knowledge of online/blended course design and universal design.

Knowledge of learning management systems.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

An Associates degree in an education or technology related field is preferred.

Physical Demands:
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
