Job Summary:

The Food Hub Operations Coordinator will work closely with the Food Hub Manager to lead the daily on-site operations of the ValleyHub social enterprise food hub at the Food Innovation Center. This person will work with a team to ensure timely completion of food processing tasks and the documentation of food safety standard operating procedures.

The Food Hub Operations Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Working with Food Hub Manager to set staff schedules and production objectives based on customer demand and product availability.
  • Coordinating and supervising daily operations,by keeping staff on task, troubleshoot equipment and processes, and ensure adherence to food safety best practices.
  • Working with staff to develop and document processes for new products.
  • Leading training and oversight of staff on food safety Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Managing completion and archival of food safety documentation.
  • Working collaboratively with program directors, peers and support staff to accomplish unit goals.
  • Collecting and compiling data and documentation for evaluation of food hub operations and draft brief reports as requested.
Minimum Qualifications:

Appropriate education, training, experience, and talents are required. An example of this would be a associates degree in the food industry, and three years of related work experience.

Candidates must also possess:

Skill in developing and maintaining records, files and data.
Skill in oral communication.
Skill in developing business relationships.
Skill in working with diverse staff of all abilities.
Skill in using Microsoft Office and basic computer functions.
Skill in providing quality customer service.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Physical Demands:
Work Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
